Is this a tattoo?

Is it permanent?
Yes, however how you take care of your tattoo can effect it's
longevity. Aftercare is of the utmost importance and is covered
extensively during your scheduled consultation.
Does it hurt?
In most cases there is only slight to
moderate discomfort. There is a superior grade of topical
anesthetic agents available today which considerably aid in the
control of your tolerance level.

Can I donate blood?
According to
www.redcross.org you may donate blood after a twelve month
period of time.
Can I have an MRI?
You should inform your radiologist if
you have permanent cosmetics or traditional tattoos as that show

Are there any
age considerations?
You must be at least 18 years
of age. (If you have an under age child who needs attention,
please call for information on medically advised procedures for

How long does the appointment take?
Typically about 2 hours.
Your scheduled time consist of the
signing of consent forms, the taking of photographs, discussion
of desired procedure and your colors, time to relax while the
anesthesia penetrates, the process of the tattoo itself
(relatively a short amount of the time) and the aftercare
instructions.
Will I need a touch up?
Not necessarily, though suggested.
A follow up appointment is made 4 -6
weeks after your initial appointment. You may choose to do a
color enhancement at that time. Though it is not automatically
mandatory to achieve your desired look.
It should be noted however that
certain procedures can be a process and therefore procedure will
be considered a minimum of two appointments.
How long does it take to heal?
The initial healing period is about 5
- 7 days.
However it takes the layers underneath
the application area about 4 - 6 weeks for them to completely
heal. Your typical look is not effect during this period of
time.

How do I look immediately following?
You look fine. Your tattoo will be
darker than you expect for the first week.
There can be slight redness and
temporary swelling and in rare cases bruising.

work/home/play immediately following.

Are
there any special considerations?
Yes, if you have EVER had cold sores,
fever blisters or chicken pox you MUST take an anti-viral
medication as prescribed by your physician, pre and post
procedure to prevent the flare-up of a new outbreak. The most
common anti-viral medications by name our Zovirax, Valtrex and
Famvir, just to name a few. This is a rule to which
there are NO exceptions.
You may not have services performed if
you are currently on Retin-A, Accutaine, Tretinoin or other
vitamin A derivatives. You should be off these products for a
period of at least 6 months.
Medical form which will be evaluated
during your scheduled appointment. And for some conditions we
require medical release forms from your physician.
We reserve the right to refuse
service.
What about allergic reactions?
They are extremely rare.
If you think you may have a reaction
to the organic, lakes or iron oxides use in today's pigments
then ask for a patch test, 24 hours prior to your tattoo session.
Can I
drive myself home?
Yes, unless you are having an eyeliner procedure.
If you are having eyeliner applied and
you wear contacts, don't forget to bring an extra pair of
glasses with you for use during the first 24 hours post
procedure. You may use your contacts the
following day.
Sunglasses will help relieve sight
stress and tensions following the procedure.
