Are there any special considerations?
Yes, if you have EVER had cold sores, fever blisters or chicken pox you MUST take an anti-viral medication as prescribed by your physician, pre and post procedure to prevent the flare-up of a new outbreak. The most common anti-viral medications by name our Zovirax, Valtrex and Famvir, just to name a few. This is a rule to which there are NO exceptions. Please contact your physician for future information.
You may not have services performed if you are currently on Retin-A, Accutaine, Tretinoin or other vitamin A derivatives. You should be off these products for a period of at least 6 months. You must be in remission for no less then one year from any major illness, condition or disease. Medical form which will be evaluated during your scheduled appointment. And for some conditions we require medical release forms from your physician. We reserve the right to refuse service.
What about allergic reactions?
They are extremely rare. If you think you may have a reaction to the organic, lakes or iron oxides use in today's pigments then ask for a patch test, 24 hours prior to your tattoo session.
Can I drive myself home?
Yes, unless you are having an eyeliner procedure. If you are having eyeliner applied and you wear contacts, don't forget to bring an extra pair of glasses with you for use during the first 24 hours post procedure. You may use your contacts the following day. Sunglasses will help relieve sight stress and tensions following the procedure.
